Nanocraft SIA is an emerging space startup founded in 2023 by three Latvian computer scientists Andris Slavinskis, Inese Libiete and Uldis Locans. With our background ranging from cubesats to NASA and from startups to Microsoft, we are interested in developing modern mission design tools for space, aeronautical and drone applications with 3D-native modelling capabilities. Cameras are the to-go solution for today’s and future navigation on and near the Earth as well as deep in space. Our first project is starting in summer 2024: we will provide synthetic datasets for the ESA Comet Interceptor mission which is developed to a YET UNKNOWN Öpik–Oort cloud object! Such a mission novelty requires us to employ the latest advances in 3D modelling, as we are working with Blender and Unreal Engine 5 for space mission design.
